H2609008 ANAKAN MO, BABAYARAN KO part2

The ‘Xpansion’ into sustainability is here with Mitsubishi’s hybrid Xpander and Xpander Cross. Mitsubishi has finally released new versions of the Xpander and Xpander Cross with full hybrid technology. Recently shown in Thailand, these new hybrid models now use a new 1.6-liter engine and a 1.1kWh battery to power an electric motor, which means these cars can run just on electric power – Mitsubishi definitely went ‘Xtra’ green there!

The new Xpander and Xpander Cross models are the first from Mitsubishi to have this kind of full hybrid system, with the total system output of these hybrid vehicles being 114 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque. The cars now come with seven different driving modes: charge, EV priority, normal, wet, gravel, tarmac, and mud, along with Active Yaw Control, a feature first seen in the Xpander Cross.

Design-wise, the hybrid models look a lot like the gasoline-powered Xpander and Xpander Cross with slight differences like thin blue stripes and e:Motion EV badges for the Xpander, and door badges and blue wheel highlights for the Xpander Cross. Inside, the hybrid Xpanders have a new digital dashboard and an electric gear selector, which makes them look more modern.

While it remains unclear whether these hybrid models will be available in the Philippine market, they have been priced starting at 912,000 Thai Baht (approximately Php 1,440,906.53) and the Xpander Cross HEV priced at 946,000 Thai Baht (approximately Php 1,494,624.54) in Thailand.

With these new hybrids, Mitsubishi is really ‘xpanding’ into more environmentally friendly car options by offering cars that use less fuel and have the option to run on electricity. If you’re looking forward to the ‘xpansion’ of these new Xpander models in the Philippine market, we’re with you!
