UAAGI, which also represents brands like Foton, Chery, and Lynk & Co, has a proven track record in the automotive industry. Rommel Sytin, UAAGI Chairman, expressed confidence that BAIC vehicles will definitely have a good impact on the Philippine market.
“The time is ripe for us to bring in what would be our fourth automotive brand and we are convinced that BAIC vehicles offer the right mix of design, features, technology, and pricing in its product line to make a strong impact on the Philippine market.”

The upcoming Philippine BAIC range includes all-SUV-and-crossover models like the B40, B60, B80 (true SUVs), and the X55 and X7 crossovers. Each model comes with a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty. On top of these, more SUV models from BAIC are expected to be available later in the year.
The higher-end BAIC models feature modern design elements and luxury features like large touchscreen displays, automatic LED headlamps, and four-wheel drive systems. Safety and performance are also included, with multiple airbags and advanced electronic driver-assist systems.
BAIC Philippines’ grand public launch is scheduled for the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) from April 4-7. The BAIC dealership and service network will be announced in the near future.
What makes BAIC’s cars different in the Philippines is most probably their 4×4 SUV models, perfect for those who love off-road adventures, aka most Filipinos. These SUVs come with strong diesel engines, making them a top pick for business owners and active lifestyle enthusiasts. Younger buyers, like millennials and Gen Zs, will find BAIC’s modern crossovers attractive. Basically, those who are young and also ‘young at heart’ should check them out! Visit AutoDeal to learn more about these vehicles, where you can also get a quote for the car of your choice.
