Only a mere month after it launched the M8, GAC has now welcomed another vehicle into its local lineup, the GAC M6 Pro. Much like the GN6 before it, the M6 Pro is a seven-seater MPV that promises to provide tons of value for an affordable price. So, on paper, what does the M6 Pro have to offer?
Let’s begin with the looks, compared to the GN6, the M6 Pro appears boxier thanks to a more flat nose and vertical grille design. Accompanying the grille are a pair of sleek headlights and vents that flank the sides of the front bumper. At the rear, the M6 Pro continues the modern aesthetic with wraparound LED taillights. Depending on the chosen variant, you can either have the M6 Pro with 16-inch or 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
Size-wise, the seven-seater MPV spans 4,793 mm in length, 1,837 mm in width, and 1,730 mm in height. It boasts a spacious 2,810 mm wheelbase and offers a luggage capacity ranging from 324 liters to 1,100 liters when both the second and third-row seats are folded. As for seating arrangement, the M6 Pro features a 2+2+3 layout with the second-row sporting captain’s chairs, a rare feature to have on cars at this price point.

Moving to the topic of power, the M6 Pro receives an updated 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, derived from the Empow, GS3 Emzoom, and Emkoo models. This engine puts out a robust output of 174 hp and an ample 270 Nm of torque, providing abundant power for transporting families and their belongings. The power is transmitted through a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch gearbox and is transferred from there to the asphalt via the front wheels.
As for gadgets, the M6 Pro treats drivers and passengers to a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, accompanied by a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display. This infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, dual-zone automatic climate control is a standard feature across the entire range.

Opting to go for the top-of-the-line GL variant will net you additional safety equipment, features include Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), High Beam Assist (HMA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACA), a Surround View Camera System, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an air quality sensor, and dual side and curtain airbags.
The GAC M6 Pro is available in two variants: The GS variant which goes for P1,230,000, and the GL which is priced at P1,598,000.
