At the 2024 Manila International Auto Show, Motor Image Pilipinas unveiled two new variants of the Subaru Outback and the Crosstrek. These two new variants feature an upgraded exterior that gives both vehicles an additional air of ruggedness. If you think their normal versions are not rugged or outdoorsy enough, these exterior upgrades will surely send the message home.

Let’s start with the smaller vehicle of the duo, the Crosstrek GT. Subaru’s GT package for the Crosstrek gives the crossover some more muscle and a bit of off-roading flair thanks to the addition of a front and rear under spoiler, door garnishes and side skirts, complementing the massive fender flares on the Crosstrek. Up top, the Crosstrek GT also gets a new, black roof spoiler which Subaru says will not only add style, but also aid in the aerodynamic efficiency of the crossover. Lastly, the Crosstrek GT gets a fresh set of 18-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone machine cut finish.

Moving to the Outback XT Touring Edition, this version of the Outback boasts a new 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine that puts out 256 hp and 350 Nm of torque mated to Subaru’s eight-speed Lineartronic CVT with all-wheel drive. This gives the Outback some additional power as well as improving its off-road capability thanks to the addition of more torque.
On the topic of the exterior, the Outback’s design is mostly unchanged from the 2.5-liter version except for the addition of variant-specific badging at the rear.
According to Motor Image Pilipinas, the reservation books for both vehicles are now open with models arriving at local showrooms soon. As for pricing, the Crosstrek GT Edition is priced at P2,088,000, while the Outback XT Touring is priced at P2,880,000.
