But with these changes, people are wondering if it will also be sold in the Philippines.

What’s new in the upcoming mu-X? From the teasers, the SUV flaunts a revamped front end, showing a redesigned grille and modern LED headlights. The RS trim adds a striking touch with a grille pattern and lime green accents. While the external revamp catches the eye, internal and mechanical upgrades are expected to follow suit, building on the already strong features such as the rough terrain mode from its pickup counterpart. The engines will likely be the same, too, with options including a 1.9-liter diesel that makes 148 hp and a stronger 3.0-liter diesel that puts out 187 hp. Both engines come with either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox, and you can choose from two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
Although the updated mu-X is set to be shown in Thailand on June 12, it’s not clear yet when or if it will come to the Philippines. However, considering how much people in the Philippines like rugged SUVs and the other Isuzu vehicles already sold here, there’s a good chance the new mu-X and the RS trim will be available here, too.
