Last year, along with the news of the Charger going electric and the ICE Charger and Challenger going away, Dodge Philippines announced the last call for both these muscle cars in the country.
Now, in 2024, the death toll rings for the Challenger as Inchcape Philippines, the official Dodge distributor in the country, has announced the end of an era with the official Last Call for the Challenger. The final units, recently arrived in the country, feature a commemorative “Last Call” underhood plaque, making them collector’s items.

In its press release, Inchcape Philippines and Dodge Philippines call on the bold, the daring, and the performance seekers for it is their last opportunity to snag one of Dodge’s most legendary performance vehicles available in the country. Since its debut in the Philippines in 2011, over 300 units have found homes in Filipino garages, and it’s not surprising, because the Challenger’s wide body and powerful engines appeal to our most primal desires and aspirations. We’d even venture to say that the Challenger resonates with our naughty side.

The final batch of units available in the Philippines are the GT variants, powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 304 hp and 363 Nm of torque. This power is delivered to the rear wheels through an eight-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission.

If the passing of the Challenger saddens you, the press release provides some hope that a new, exciting performance car will take its place in the future. According to the press release, the Dodge brand remains dedicated to honoring the spirit and legendary history that it is known for. In addition, it also says that Dodge is eager to combine its bold spirit with cutting-edge innovation in future models, ensuring that the legacy continues with even more power and performance. Hopefully, this means that the next-generation Charger will make its way into our country. Fingers crossed.
