Back at the start of 2024, Jeep announced that it would be capping off the V8 Wrangler’s production run with the limited edition Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition. Many fans of the V8-powered off-roader were predictably saddened by the news of its departure. However, according to recent updates from Stellantis, the V8 engine will be sticking around for a bit longer.
For a bit of background, the Final Edition Jeep was capped at 3,700 units. The V8 HEMI in the Wrangler pushes 470 hp and 637 Nm of torque making it a quick SUV despite its hefty size. In fact, the Wrangler can go from zero to 97 km/h in 4.5 seconds.

The company hasn’t specified the exact number but emphasized that due to popular demand, they had to continue production of the Wrangler Rubicon 392.
In terms of features, the 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 will come equipped with the same features as the Final Edition: a factory two-inch lift kit, upgraded frame rails, high-performance shocks, heavy-duty brakes, 17-inch beadlock wheels with 35-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, and a factory-installed 3,628 kg Warn power winch. The only difference this revival has over the 2024 Wrangler is that it loses the 83-piece tool kit as well as the triple-loop grille guard from Mopar.
Here in the Philippines, the Wrangler is only available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. With the V8 Wrangler getting a second wind, does this mean it will get a chance to make its way to the Philippines? We sure hope so.
