The new and improved 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 is on the horizon. Hyundai recently rolled out updates to the IONIQ 5 for the 2025 model year. Manufactured in Georgia, USA, the updated model boasts new features and a rugged new trim. The car now features redesigned bumpers, a tweaked spoiler, and updated wheels, including a more aerodynamic design, made to cut through the air better.

It also comes in new color options, including Atlas White Matte, Ecotronic Gray Matte, and Celadon Gray Matte. The interior sees minor changes with a new steering wheel, an updated center console, and added physical buttons for easier control to make the general user experience better.

One of the bigger changes in this update is the addition of an XRT trim, which brings a touch of ruggedness to the IONIQ 5. It includes a 0.9-inch lift and all-terrain tires that would work for rougher terrains, completed by design features such as black accents and digital camo patterns on the bumpers and fenders. The trim also introduces exclusive colors and maintains the dual-motor all-wheel drive setup.

Performance-wise, the 2025 IONIQ 5 comes with improved battery capacities. The Standard Range model now features a 63 kWh battery, up from 58 kWh, increasing its range to over 386 km per charge. The Long Range model boosts its battery from 77.4 to 84 kWh, extending the driving range to over 499 km for rear-wheel-drive versions. Moreover, the integration of a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port allows for easier access to Tesla’s Supercharger network, simplifying the charging process.

People in the U.S. are getting excited, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that Hyundai will extend the excitement here by introducing the IONIQ 5 in our country. There’s nothing certain yet, but if it does show up here, local drivers would get a sweet combo of the high-tech, eco-friendly vehicle that looks good. For now, if you’re itching to see what Hyundai’s performance cars are like, the IONIQ 5 N is already here. Take a look at it and the full Hyundai lineup over on AutoDeal
