It goes without saying that the Ford Territory has flipped the crossover market on its head. Since making its debut several years ago, Ford has made the crossover experience accessible to a wide audience, delivering impressive value for money thanks to the car’s performance, features, and safety.
Now in its second generation, the Ford Territory continues to be well-received in the market, and is actually among the best-selling models on our platform for the first half of the year, accounting for 4.67 percent of total sales.

That being said, it seems that the Territory is set to receive a facelift for the 2025 model-year—or at least that’s what the Chinese market would suggest. Known as the Equator Sport in China, the crossover has been unveiled sporting a sleeker, more streamlined look. Ditching the bulky, chiseled lines upfront for a more seamless, futuristic design. The styling update gives the crossover an illusion of size, tying it in closer with the more premium offerings in Ford’s lineup.
But there’s much more than meets the eye with the 2025 Ford Territory. It’s expected to receive an improved turbocharged engine, continuing its focus on delivering a balance of power and efficiency. Paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox, the crossover promises smoother gear shifts and a more refined driving experience. Looking ahead, Ford plans to introduce a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant, which will feature a combined system output of 218 PS, offering a greener and more powerful option for drivers seeking better fuel economy and reduced emissions.

Looking ahead, Ford plans to introduce a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant, which will feature a combined system output of 218 PS, offering a greener and more powerful option for drivers seeking better fuel economy and reduced emissions.

Inside the 2025 Ford Territory, the cabin retains its modern and tech-forward design, featuring dual 12.3-inch digital displays that serve as the instrument cluster and infotainment system. A rotary-style gear selector adds a sleek touch, while premium materials like high gloss piano black accents and leather upholstery enhance the interior’s luxury feel. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, rear aircon vents, front and rear center armrests, and push-button start, all designed to maximize comfort and convenience for passengers.
While all these tech updates are cool, we’ll have to wait patiently for Ford Philippines to launch the updated Territory in the local market. As of the moment, there isn’t any word just yet, but you can bet that this facelifted model will make its way to our shores sooner than later.
For now, the current Territory continues to be a hot seller in the crossover segment.
