The Nissan Magnite just got an update in India, complete with fresh styling and an upgraded cabin. And with plans to introduce it to new markets, we’re hoping the Philippines will be on that list!

Nissan has given the Magnite, its subcompact SUV, a mild facelift for 2024, adding a more stylish look and updated interior features. While the exterior updates are not much, including a larger grille, wider skid plate, and smoked LED taillights with honeycomb detailing, Nissan gives the Magnite a modernized look. Functional roof rails and 205 mm ground clearance add to its rugged appearance despite its compact frame, making it a top choice for urban drivers looking for a bit of adventure styling.

Inside, the updated Magnite adds leather-style brownish-orange accents on the dashboard, seats, and door panels. The cabin keeps its 7-inch digital display and 8-inch infotainment screen, both supporting Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional features, depending on the variant, include an Arkamys sound system, ambient lighting, and a dashcam. For safety, the model is provided with six airbags but doesn’t include advanced driver assistance features.

Built on Nissan’s CMF-A+ platform, which it shares with the Renault Triber and Kiger, the Magnite offers two engine options: a naturally aspirated 1.0-liter three-cylinder producing 71 hp and a turbocharged version outputting 99 hp. Both engines come with a five-speed manual gearbox, while automatic options include EZ-Shift for the base engine and an X-Tronic CVT for the turbocharged model. The SUV remains a front-wheel-drive vehicle across all trims.

The facelifted Magnite is produced in Chennai, India, where Nissan has already manufactured over 150,000 units. Nissan’s plan to offer both right-hand and left-hand drive configurations is helping expand its availability to 47 new markets, bringing its reach to over 65 countries. With such wide international rollout plans, there’s a chance that the Philippines could see the new Magnite soon.
