For most of us, the GAC GS3 Emzoom is easy to identify as a vehicle, it’s a crossover, has a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, and seats for five. It’s a different story for Carla Kristel “CK” Madaraog, though, the GAC Emzoom was more than just a car, it became her symbol of hope, resilience, and a celebration of life.

Earlier this year, CK encountered one of the most challenging periods of her life. Hospitalized in March, her condition took an unexpected turn for the worse, plunging her and her fiancé, Elmer Argaño, into a sea of uncertainty. Amid their prolonged hospital stay, a surprising source of inspiration emerged. From her window, CK spotted a vibrant billboard featuring the GAC Emzoom and GAC MOTOR brand ambassador Dingdong Dantes. That simple sight sparked a lighthearted yet profound conversation, offering a much-needed ray of positivity.
“We promised ourselves we’d overcome this challenge together. Seeing that billboard, we joked that it wasn’t my time to go yet—I still had to drive my dream Emzoom!”

Madaraog had long admired the GAC Emzoom, captivated by its sleek design and versatility. To her, it represented freedom, resilience, and the promise of future adventures. As her health began to improve, Elmer enlisted the support of their family, friends, and an unexpected ally: Dingdong Dantes. Upon hearing about Madaraog’s journey and her connection to the Emzoom, Dantes extended his heartfelt encouragement. He even pledged to personally celebrate her recovery when the time came to turn her dream into reality.
Just before a critical procedure, the couple held an intimate wedding at the hospital, with Dingdong Dantes proudly standing as a sponsor. With the unwavering support of her new husband and their community, Madaraog triumphed over her health challenges, embracing her new life with deep gratitude.
Months later, her dream of owning a GAC Emzoom became a reality. At a special turnover ceremony, surrounded by her husband and Dantes, Madaraog received the keys to a Salt Lake Blue Emzoom—perfectly aligned with her vision. The event symbolized more than acquiring a car; it marked the culmination of a journey defined by resilience, love, and unwavering faith.
“This car is more than just a vehicle to me,” Madaraog said, beaming. “It’s a symbol of hope and strength. I’m excited for the adventures ahead, surrounded by love and blessings.”
