Before the year ends, BYD has revealed the 2025 Dolphin facelift, introducing updated features and a new motor option. The all-electric hatchback now includes a 130 kW (174 hp) motor variant, along with modifications for the exterior and minor adjustments to the interior. The updated Dolphin is priced between approximately P775k and P1M

The latest Dolphin includes changes to the lower front fascia, while the semi-hidden door handles and body lines remain the same. At the rear, the “Build Your Dream” logo has been replaced with a “BYD” badge, and the taillight and rear sections have been slightly adjusted. The Dolphin rides on either 195/60R16 or 205/50R17 tires
The facelift also comes with a larger body. The Dolphin now measures 4,280 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, which makes it 155 mm longer than the 2025 model currently on sale. Depending on the variant, the car’s curb weight ranges from 1,435 kg to 1,600 kg, which makes sense considering the inclusion of additional features and its new powertrain options.

Depending on the variant, the car’s curb weight ranges from 1,435 kg to 1,600 kg, which makes sense considering the inclusion of additional features and its new powertrain options.

Three motor options are available for the updated Dolphin, which include a 70 kW (94 hp) base motor, a 130 kW (174 hp) mid-level motor, and a 150 kW (201 hp) high-power motor. All variants continue to use BYD’s Blade LFP battery packs. The high-power trim features a 60.48 kWh battery, delivering a driving range of up to 520 kilometers, while the lower trim, with a 44.928 kWh battery, delivers a range of 420 kilometers. Depending on the motor, the top speeds range from 150 km/h to 160 km/h.
For added convenience, the Dolphin offers several optional features, including a panoramic sunroof, multiple radars and cameras, rear privacy glass, and custom rim designs. The BYD Dolphin continues to perform well in the EV market. In November, it sold 21,712 units, bringing its total sales for 2024 to 176,560 units. With the new motor options, revamped exterior, and improved dimensions, the 2025 BYD Dolphin may build on this success and remain a strong car in the coming year.
We’ll need to wait for more updates from BYD about the facelifted Dolphin and its possible launch in the Philippines. While we wait, you can check out the current Dolphin and explore the BYD Car Guide on AutoDeal.com.ph. Whether you’re on the web, iOS, or Android, AutoDeal makes it simple to shop for your next car.
