GAC Motor Philippines is having a great year, and it shows in the numbers. The brand under Astara recorded strong results this year, achieving a 79-percent year-on-year increase in sales. Between January and November 2024, the brand sold 3,060 units, up from 1,714 during the same period in 2023, which makes GAC one of the leading Chinese car brands in the local market.

The GS3 Emzoom crossover led the way in driving sales, with 1,987 units sold so far this year. Meanwhile, the newly launched M6 Pro and M8 MPVs contributed to the strong numbers, selling 283 and 215 units respectively. GAC Motor also introduced the Emkoo Hybrid, adding a fuel-efficient option for eco-conscious customers looking for practical and modern vehicles.
Franz Decloedt, Brand Head of GAC Motor, Astara Philippines, shared his thoughts on the brand’s success. He mentioned that GAC Motor is proud to have welcomed over 3,000 new customers this year. He added that the growing trust in their cars motivates them to continue improving their offerings and introducing vehicles that meet the needs of Filipino buyers. The GS3 Emzoom also celebrated a new milestone in October, reaching 2,500 units sold since its launch in June 2023. GAC Motor plans to keep this momentum going next year by introducing more new models and improving their customer experience.
