H1809010 MILAGRO SA IBABAW NG BANGKAY TBON MANILA part2

Pickups have always been a favorite among Filipinos, with the Navara leading Nissan’s lineup. The car has long been a favorite pickup in the Philippines, but Nissan’s new Dongfeng Z9 from China might have something new to offer.

The Nissan Dongfeng Z9 is a new addition to Nissan’s lineup, developed with its Chinese partner Dongfeng. It has a bold exterior with a large light bar, Z-shaped LED lights, and a split grille. The truck’s dual-cab design and size make it stand out, measuring 5,520 mm in length with a 3,300 mm wheelbase. Inside, the Z9 features a modern cabin with a digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen, and physical controls for ease of use.

The Z9 comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 258 hp and a 2.3-liter turbodiesel with 190 hp, both paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. These specs put it in the same range as the Navara’s 2.5-liter diesel engine, which delivers up to 187 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The standout feature, however, is the hybrid option. Expected to deliver 435 hp and 800 Nm of torque, the hybrid variant would be a game-changer in the pickup segment. It could attract Filipino drivers looking for power and better fuel efficiency, especially for longer drives or heavy hauling.

The Nissan Dongfeng Z9 has been launched in China. Will it join the Navara and other pickups on Philippine roads?

The Navara is already a favorite due to its off-road capability and competitive pricing. If the Z9 joins the lineup, it could offer a new option for buyers looking for modern features or a hybrid truck. Pricing could be a deciding factor. If the Z9 is priced competitively, it could attract a lot of attention. However, the hybrid version might cost more, which could limit its appeal unless it offers long-term savings through better fuel efficiency.

There’s no confirmation yet if the Z9 will make its way to the Philippines. However, with its advanced features, bold design, and hybrid option, it would be an exciting addition to the local pickup market. Can it compete with models like the Navara, Hilux, or Ranger? Only time will tell, but it’s something to keep an eye on. While we wait for updates, visit AutoDeal.com.ph to see Nissan’s options available locally and get a quote.
