As the photos reveal, Kia will offer the EV4 in sedan and hatchback variants. However, interior images are yet to be released. Fortunately, with February 24 just days away, we won’t have to wait long for the full reveal.

Although Kia has yet to reveal specifics about the EV4’s powertrain, it’s likely to be built on the brand’s widely used E-GMP platform, shared with Hyundai and Genesis EVs. This platform supports both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations, with power outputs ranging from 168 to 641 hp. Battery options vary in size, with larger packs offering between 84.0 and 99.8 kWh—potentially giving the EV4 a driving range of over 482 km.
Putting the powertrain aside, let’s focus on the design. Both body styles are presented in the flagship GT-Line trim, each sporting distinct 19-inch wheel designs. The most noticeable difference lies at the rear. While the hatchback features a conventional silhouette with an integrated trunk, the sedan stands out with its sloping roofline that overlaps with its separate trunk, an odd design choice one could say.
Before its official launch, the EV4 faces an uphill battle. With the future of EVs still uncertain and sedans increasingly overshadowed by large crossovers, it will need to carve out a distinct identity and prove its worth. The bright side? Kia’s commitment to keeping sedan and hatchback body styles alive shows they’re not ready to abandon them just yet.
