H1709008 Baguhan na Waiter, Binully ng Mayayaman na part2

Mazda is preparing to bring the 2025 BT-50 to the Philippines, and it’s coming with a new look and updated tech. First revealed in Australia, the facelifted BT-50 pickup truck now follows Mazda’s Kodo “Soul of Motion” design language, making it look more like the brand’s SUVs and crossovers. As we reported in October 2024, Mazda teased this update last year, and now we finally get to see what’s new.

According to Autoindustriya, the updated BT-50 is expected to launch in the Philippines in Q2 2025. While an exact date has not been confirmed, their sources say that the new model will be available in 4×2 and 4×4 variants. For those hoping for a different engine, Mazda Philippines will continue to offer only the 3.0L 4JJ3-TCX turbo-diesel engine, which is shared with Isuzu’s D-MAX and mu-X. The new 2.2L MaxForce DDi turbo-diesel engine will not be included in the Philippine lineup.

The 2025 BT-50 will also come with a bigger 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and additional driver-assist features like traffic jam assist (TJA), which works with adaptive cruise control (ACC).

For the Australian market, the front-end design is where most of the changes can be seen. The LED headlights have been redesigned, sitting alongside a new grille and bumper. Mazda says the bumper now has an air curtain, which helps improve fuel efficiency. At the back, the tailgate now has a ridged design, paired with updated LED taillights. One of the standout details is Mazda’s biggest logo ever, which is now larger than those found on the latest CX crossover lineup.

With the Q2 2025 launch expected, more details should be available soon, including how the PH version will compare to the Australian model. While waiting, check out Mazda’s current lineup at AutoDeal.com.ph.
