Months after Isuzu debuted the facelifted mu-X in Thailand, it’s finally time for the refreshed SUV to land on our shores. While the exterior receives a fresh update, the 2025 mu-X isn’t just about looks—Isuzu has also refined the interior with thoughtful upgrades. Now that it’s officially on sale, let’s take a closer look at what’s new.

On the exterior, the RJ-generation mu-X receives a radically updated front bumper, dubbed the “Fighter Jet” look by Isuzu. Alongside the new bumper, there’s a newly designed honeycomb grille with silver trim accents, updated Dynamic Blade LED daytime running lights and headlights, redesigned LED taillights, and fresh alloy wheel designs. Overall, the facelift retains the tough, muscular look of the mu-X while adding a touch of sleek yet aggressive styling. In fact, one might even say the mu-X looks angrier than ever before.
Inside, Isuzu has equipped the 2025 mu-X with a new electroluminescent instrument cluster, complemented by a 7-inch digital multi-info display for easy access to essential driving information. The infotainment system features a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional conveniences include dual-zone climate control with a pollen filter, a power tailgate, a wireless charging pad, and remote engine start, enhancing comfort and convenience for drivers and passengers alike. The top-spec variant is upholstered in plush black leather that’s accompanied by ambient lighting making every drive special.

The top-spec variant is upholstered in plush black leather that’s accompanied by ambient lighting making every drive special.

Under the hood, the 2025 mu-X retains the same powertrains as before. Choices include the 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX and 1.9L RZ4E turbo-diesel engines. The 3.0-liter unit delivers 187 hp and 450 Nm of torque, while the 1.9-liter engine produces 147 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Both powertrains are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, with four-wheel drive available on the top-spec variant.

Last but not least, safety. Perhaps one of the most overlooked aspects of a vehicle, the 2025 mu-X comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active safety features across all variants, including electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, and hill-descent control.
Like before, the top-spec mu-X also comes equipped with an Advanced Driver Assist System. Features such as automatic high beams, lane departure warning, front collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot assist, and a 360-degree around-view monitor provide security from when you depart to when you arrive.
If you’re eager to check out the refreshed Isuzu mu-X, here’s a look at the price. The base mu-X LS 4×2 AT starts at P1,725,000, while the mu-X LS-A 4×2 AT comes in at P2,069,000. For those looking for more premium features, the mu-X LS-E 4×2 AT is priced at P2,320,000. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line mu-X LS-E 4×4 AT—equipped with four-wheel drive for added capability—comes in at P2,670,000.
With a range of options to choose from, there’s a mu-X to suit every driver’s needs. Check it out on the Isuzu Car Guide along with other Isuzu vehicles on AutoDeal today!
