H1609002 Lalakeng Sinasaktan ang Minamahal TBON MANILA part2

Suzuki isn’t usually the first brand that comes to mind when you think of bold changes or rapid innovation. Known for their tried-and-tested approach, Suzuki has often played it safe—especially in the sedan segment. But at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show, the brand surprised everyone by pulling the covers off the all-new Dzire, showing it’s ready to step out of its comfort zone.

One of the first left-hand-drive markets to get the redesigned model, the Philippines gets a front-row seat to Suzuki’s new direction. The Dzire is no longer just a Swift with a trunk—it now has its own identity, with almost no body panels shared with its hatchback sibling.

The styling is much sharper and more mature this time around. A new front fascia features smoother curves and a more angular grille, while the flared fenders give it a slightly more muscular stance. LED headlights come standard on higher trims, and the rear still keeps the signature short tail—but with cleaner, more cohesive lines.

As far as size goes, it remains a true subcompact. The Dzire measures 3,995mm long, 1,735mm wide, and 1,525mm tall, riding on a 2,450mm wheelbase. It offers 382 liters of cargo space and sits 163mm off the ground—ideal for urban use with a bit of room for rougher roads.

Inside, the dashboard layout mirrors the latest Swift sold in other markets, featuring a layered design with a floating touchscreen tilted toward the driver. Analog gauges return, giving the cabin a clean, user-friendly vibe that doesn’t go overboard with screens.

The Suzuki Dzire finally gets hybrid technology

Pricing starts at just P920K.

Suzuki Dzire

Under the hood is a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine paired with a small hybrid system—a 0.072kWh battery and electric motor. Mated to a CVT, the setup produces a modest 80 hp and 112 Nm of torque, offering better efficiency without sacrificing usability for daily driving.

Pricing starts at P920,000 for the GL variant, while the top-spec GLX goes for P998,000. It’s a sensible price point for a sedan that now offers more personality, more tech, and a modern hybrid twist.
