Looks like BYD isn’t hitting the brakes anytime soon. BYD Cars Philippines, under ACMobility, kicked off 2025 by opening nine new dealerships in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. This brings their total to 29 active stores, with plans to reach 77 dealerships by the end of the year. The company also began building new branches in Baliwag, Carmona, and Dasmariñas.

In Metro Manila, the biggest showroom so far is BYD Manila Bay, located in Aseana City. It can display 18 vehicles, has 11 work bays, and offers eight AC chargers and two DC fast chargers. Other new stores include BYD Batangas, BYD Commonwealth, BYD Fairview, BYD Alabang, and BYD Chinatown, the first car dealership inside Binondo.
In the Visayas, BYD Iloilo opened as the city’s first EV dealership. It has space for nine cars, six service bays, and chargers including a 150 kW DC fast charger. Another new dealership opened in Talisay, Negros Occidental, with nine service bays and a solar power setup to help run the facility. In Mindanao, BYD now has a store in Cagayan de Oro. This branch has six service bays and even a café for waiting customers.

BYD’s expansion also includes a recent groundbreaking for a future dealership in Nueva Ecija. The company also teamed up with SEAelectric Philippines Inc., which is linked with SEAOIL, to help bring more EVs to places like La Union. Aside from growing its network, BYD received several awards from the local motoring press. The Sealion 6 DM-i earned multiple “Car of the Year” wins and was also named the best hybrid vehicle by various outlets. The BYD Han won in categories like safety and value for money, while the Atto 3 and Seagull also received praise as top EV picks.
