H1509002 Kapatid na Pinalayas Nagsariling Sikap! part2

Hyundai has announced a new hybrid system that will be used for its next set of hybrid models. First seen with the upcoming 2026 Hyundai Palisade SUV, the new system brings a lot more power while also improving fuel economy. Hyundai says the setup delivers up to 329 hp and 460 Nm of torque. That’s about 19 percent more power, nine percent more torque, and up to 45 percent better fuel efficiency compared to older systems.

The hybrid system uses two motors inside a newly made transmission. The first motor (called P1) starts the car, helps recharge the battery, and adds extra push when needed. The second motor (called P2) helps move the car forward and handles regenerative braking. Hyundai shared that this setup can work with different kinds of engines, starting with either an all-new 1.6-liter turbo engine or an updated 2.5-liter turbo engine that has improved cooling and a better piston design to maximize power and savings.

Another feature added is the support for vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, which means the car can supply up to 3.6 kW of power to charge gadgets or small appliances during trips. Hyundai also said it is working on improving its electric all-wheel drive (e-AWD) systems. With the addition of a motor to the rear wheels (called a P4 motor), Hyundai plans to give future hybrids better handling and performance even on rougher roads. Depending on the vehicle size and market, Hyundai will offer either e-AWD or the regular AWD option.

There’s more in the pipeline too. Hyundai mentioned that a rear-wheel drive setup using the 2.5-liter turbo hybrid system could soon appear in future Genesis luxury models. No official word yet on which ones, but it shows that Hyundai plans to expand this tech across its brands. While it’s still up in the air if these upgrades will land in the Philippine lineup, Hyundai and Kia’s future here looks exciting.
