For now, the passenger version is a five-seater, but Kia is expected to offer a three-row version later. The cargo version will be a two-seater. One useful feature of the PV5 is its V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function, which allows the van to power appliances or even some parts of a home. The back seats of the passenger version can be folded flat to create a bed, and the cargo version includes a hidden storage space in the floor for extra flexibility. The van’s size is quite compact. The longer cargo model measures 4,695 mm in length, which is actually shorter than a Toyota Zenix. Even so, the PV5 offers up to 4,420 liters of cargo space. The passenger version offers at least 1,330 liters.

Kia also revealed battery options. The passenger version uses a 71.2 kWh battery with a range of up to 358 km. The cargo version can be ordered with either the same 71.2 kWh battery or a smaller 51.5 kWh battery. Depending on the battery, the cargo van can go either 280 km or 377 km on a full charge.

Kia has not yet released the power output numbers for the PV5, but with orders now open, more details should follow soon. The PV5 looks like it will offer a practical and flexible option for anyone looking to switch to an electric van. While waiting, feel free to check out Kia’s current models on AutoDeal.com.ph.
