According to the SMC, the younger Ang steps into the role at a time “when demand for premium vehicles in the Philippines is growing, alongside rising interest in electrified mobility.”

The new executive’s father — who serves as the SMCACD chairman — is confident on the former’s competences, saying his leadership and fresh perspective will help further bolster the brand’s presence in the country.
“We have built a strong foundation over the years, and with his energy and vision, I am confident he will take the brand further and create even more value for our customers,” the Ang patriarch claimed.
Meanwhile, the younger Ang expressed enthusiasm over the position.
“This is an exciting time for our industry and for BMW in the Philippines,” said Jacob Ang. “My priority is to build on what we do best — drive innovation in how we serve our customers, and strengthen BMW’s position as the leader in premium mobility in the country.”
