When it comes to pickups, Ford has quite the lineup. And now, the carmaker is taking it to another level with the Ranger Super Duty, able to haul nearly 2,000 kilos. Ford recently teased more details about the Ranger Super Duty, and it’s clear that this isn’t just a lifted Ranger with a fancy badge.

Recently revealed specs show that this heavy-duty truck can carry up to 1,982 kg, depending on the body style. It’s even built higher off the ground with a ground clearance of up to 299 mm, and a wading depth of 850 mm. There are three cab styles: dual cab with 1,825 kg payload, Super Cab with 1,896 kg, and single cab with the highest 1,982 kg capacity. All three are powered by a 3.0-liter V6 PowerStroke turbodiesel engine, tuned to make 207 hp and 600 Nm of torque. While it has less horsepower than the regular V6 seen in some Ranger and Everest models, it offers more than enough pulling power from just 1,750 rpm.

Ford added stronger driveshafts, bigger bolts, and even used the front diff from the Bronco Raptor. The rear gets a larger solid axle, and both front and rear have locking diffs. The Super Duty also gets 8-stud hubs to support all the extra weight it’s meant to handle. Looks-wise, it comes with bold features straight from the factory: 33-inch all-terrain tires, wide fender flares, matte black trim, and a raised stamped hood. A snorkel also comes standard across all versions, clearly showing it’s meant to handle deep water and rough paths.
When it comes to towing, the Ranger Super Duty goes beyond what most mid-size pickups can do. Ford says it can tow up to 4,500 kg, well above what the regular Ranger can handle. It’s got a gross vehicle mass of 4,500 kg and a gross combination mass rating of 8,000 kg, which are closer to figures you’d expect from Ford’s bigger F-Series trucks.
While it’s already confirmed for markets like Australia and New Zealand in 2026, there’s still no word yet on whether the Ranger Super Duty will arrive in the Philippines. But since it’s built in Thailand, it’s not completely out of the picture, so we’ll be watching closely.
