You might just be able to fuel the need for speed without needing fuel at all. Hyundai just revealed the IONIQ 6 N, its fastest electric car yet.

Yes, that’s an EV we’re talking about. We’re so used to EVs being quiet and calm, but Hyundai clearly didn’t get that memo. The carmaker has officially taken the covers off the IONIQ 6 N, its newest electric performance car.

Not so long ago, Hyundai confirmed that the IONIQ 6 N would be officially revealed this July, following the global debut of the updated IONIQ 6. That announcement came last April, building up excitement for what would be the brand’s second all-electric performance model after the IONIQ 5 N. Now, the wait is over, and the IONIQ 6 N is finally revealed.
It’s the second EV under the N brand after the IONIQ 5 N, and this one follows the sleek sedan shape of the regular IONIQ 6, but with way more power. It comes with dual electric motors that make 601 hp, and with N Grin Boost turned on, it goes up to 641 hp and 770 Nm of torque for 10 seconds. That’s enough to hit zero to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and it can reach speeds up to 257 km/h.

Aside from the strong power, Hyundai also worked on making the IONIQ 6 N handle better. It gets upgraded suspension with sensors that adjust depending on how you drive. It also comes with tools like N Drift Optimizer and N Torque Distribution to help manage the power when cornering. The brakes are big too, 398 mm in the front and 358 mm in the rear, and it rides on 508 mm wheels with wide Pirelli tires made just for this model. The body also looks more aggressive, with wider fenders and a fixed rear wing to help with grip.
For those who miss the sound of a gas engine, Hyundai added some tech that mimics it. The IONIQ 6 N comes with a feature called N e-Shift that simulates gear changes, along with N Active Sound+, which gives three sound options: one that sounds like a race car, one with classic EV tones, and one that’s more futuristic. Even the lights inside the cabin flash along with the fake gear shifts.
One charge gets you up to around 468 km based on Europe’s WLTP figures, though that will likely be less depending on your driving style. It uses the same 84.0 kWh battery as the IONIQ 5 N, which is rated for about 355 km. No word yet on pricing, but considering the IONIQ 5 N starts at around $67,800 USD (approx. P3.97 million), the IONIQ 6 N might land somewhere in the P3.6 to P3.9 million range, if Hyundai Philippines decides to bring it in.
The color choices include Performance Blue, Abyss Black, Serenity White, Nocturne Gray, and Gravity Gold, with matte options available. Hyundai will also offer a global catalog of N performance parts so future owners can personalize their IONIQ 6 N even further. We still don’t have the full details on the price or when it’s launching, but if Hyundai follows the same path as before, the IONIQ 6 N could be the next fast all-electric car we’ll see on our roads. While we wait, you can check out the other award-winning Hyundai models—including the regular IONIQ 6—on AutoDeal.com.ph. See the full specs, compare features, and even get a quote right away.
