If range anxiety was your reason to skip EVs, Changan just made it harder to resist. Inchcape Philippines, the official distributor of Changan in the country, is putting a spotlight on the Nevo Q05 and Hunter K50. These electric models lead their categories in total EV driving range, helping drivers go farther on a single charge.

Both the Nevo Q05 and Hunter K50 were introduced during the Manila International Auto Show in April 2025. Since then, they have been positioned as strong options in the local EV market. These models are part of Changan’s ongoing goal to bring more practical and eco-friendly vehicles to Filipino drivers.
The Nevo Q05 is a plug-in hybrid SUV that leads its class with a pure electric range of 115 kilometers and a total EV range of up to 1,215 kilometers under the NEDC cycle. Its 18.4 kWh battery is larger than many others in its category. Aside from its strong range, the Q05 comes with 4 drive modes (PHEV, BEV, REV, and iEM), a panoramic sunroof with rain sensor, park-in and park-out assist, a dashcam, and a 6-way electric driver seat with memory and welcome function. It also includes important safety features such as dynamic braking, rollover mitigation, a 360-degree camera, and emergency braking.
Other features include LED headlights and taillights, daytime running lights, automatic high beam, follow-me-home function, seat height adjust, front and rear fog lamps, and side mirrors that are heated, power-adjustable, and fold automatically. The power tailgate also comes with height adjustment, anti-pinch, and hands-free opening. The Q05 is priced at P1.2M for the SE variant and P1.4 million for the iD variant, making it a strong option for buyers looking for a capable plug-in hybrid SUV.
The Hunter K50 is a range-extended electric pick-up truck with a 31.18 kWh battery, 131 km of pure electric range, and a total range of 1,031 km. These numbers put it ahead of others in the same segment. It is also known as the world’s first range-extended electric pick-up and the first 4-wheel-drive electric pick-up available in the Philippines.
The top 4×4 variant is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged BlueCore range extender paired with dual electric motors. The Hunter K50 offers multiple driving modes, including Eco, Comfort, Sport, Traction, Custom, Creep, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Off-road. It can also be driven in PHEV, BEV, and iEM modes, giving drivers more control based on their needs.
To help with tough road conditions, it comes with front and rear axle electronic differential locks, lateral stability control, emergency brake warnings, collision auto unlock, and collision-triggered fuel cut-off. All of these make it a dependable truck for outdoor trips and heavy tasks.
